Mia recently found out that Arielle Stallman is in the same program Mia graduated from at Tel Aviv University! They only take 30 international students, so it is a very small world!
Mia Levy - After graduating from the University of Illinois, majoring in cultural anthropology, Mia joined the Peace Corps and spent almost two years in Costa Rica. She was accepted at Tel Aviv University as one of 30 international students majoring in International Conflict Resolution and Mediation and received her Masters Degree last year. She stayed in Tel Aviv and is employed by EcoPeace, a nonprofit that works on water solutions between Israel, Jordan and the Palestinian territories. She was recently named a Presidential Management Fellow and is applying for jobs (through the fellowship) with the U.S. Government. She is hoping to be hired by USAID or the State Department.
Shayna Levy - Shayna went to the University of Miami majoring in finance. She studied abroad in both Australia and South Africa. After graduating, as she was traveling through South America, Shayna took the classes she needed to become a CPA and passed her exam while working for Ernst and Young in Denver, She now has her dream job at for Alterra Mountain Company as an accountant. She loves the outdoor life and spends a lot of time skiing (for free) as well as biking, hiking and rock climbing.
