From   the   beginning

Where   we   are   now

We are a Conservative, primarily, lay-led Jewish congregation located in the beautiful hills of San Luis Obispo.  We encourage personal, spiritual and intellectual growth and take tremendous pride in our reputation as a warm and caring multi-generational family synagogue. 

TNS is fortunate to have a vibrant community at hand with a strong continuum of lay leadership, along with rabbinic leadership.  We lead a Family Shabbat many first Fridays of the month and Saturday Shabbat services.  We are able to support life-cycle events, maintain an inspiring religious school, and serve the larger SLO community through Jewish programming.

At Temple Ner Shalom, we personalize moments of celebration and tragedy from the beginning of life to death.  We celebrate together birth, b'nai mitzvah, weddings, while supporting each other during illness and loss.  We pride ourselves on the care of our community, love and individual attention paid to each life cycle event.
