TZEDAKAH

Giving charity is a part of Jewish life. Temple Ner Shalom contributes to the San Luis Obispo Homeless Shelter, and the Mazon organization (a Jewish response to hunger.) We fill barrels of food that we would have eaten over the High Holy Day of Yom Kippur and donate them to the local food bank.

Donations in the name of loved ones, in honor of friends and family and to help support Temple activities, has been a major foundation in Temple Ner Shalom's ability to provide for the community.
